The 220 club!

We're not buying the block of land we really liked. The owner is asking too much. Seems there's a '200 club' around Beveridges Road whereby any parcel of land, from half an acre to 20+ acres, is on the market for $220,000. After getting the block independently valued (which came out significantly less than 220K) we put in a reasonable offer only to be laughed at by the Agent, who went on to relay some rude remark from the owner 'I may have a beard, but that doesn't make me Santa Claus'. This comes after the Agents opening remarks about the owner being VERY negotiable with the price. Arrrrr. Won't be using that Agent again! Now considering cheaper houses in town that we could renovate, or less 'grand' blocks of land to build on.

Racing buddies

Charlotte's getting in on the action!

New hairdo

Missy is sprouting a new hairdo! Her fringe is getting so long we've resorted to hairclips and teeny weeny piggy tails.

Life in Hamilton

The last couple of weeks have been exciting, having come to the decision to stay on in Hamilton. We've been looking into Partnerships, Blocks of land and "Grand Designs" for our home which we hope to build soon. Here's some pics taken over the last couple of weeks... featuring Playgroup and our friend's wedding in the Mount (big catch up with Adelaide 'Kings' friends).

More Vanuatu pics

Here's some with Charlotte...

Vanuatu holiday

We had a great holiday in Vanuatu. Weather wasn't quite as warm as we'd hoped but it was still more pleasant than back home. Apart from the flight over, kids enjoyed themselves. Charlotte decided she was all grown up on holidays and weaned herself - we had fun trying to teach her to drink from a cup! Noah loved the sand, and even went on a few canoe rides. We visited the Cascades Waterfalls, and Erakor Island, but mostly relaxed at our resort on Erakor Lagoon.

We're back

After a couple of weeks being without computer, we are now back online! Our dear laptop 'jumped' off the top of the fridge a few weeks ago, sustained serious injuries, and our Insurance company decided it was easier to replace than repair. Picked up the new one yesterday, so no more squinting on the iPhone!
