Big Boy

Noah's learning lots these days. Yesterday he used his spoon to scoop food up and into his mouth! (up til now he's just banged it on things); he's getting more confident 'cruising' around furniture and play grounds; and is more interested in books. Our long weekend got off to a tired start with Noah having his roughest night ever. He had a funny tummy and lots of wind so kept waking and screaming. Stuart took him for a drive around 1 am and spent the night sleeping in the car along side the road, then later in the driveway. We all got a hopeless sleep. Looking forward to a long weekend... with a happy little Noah and some quality family time (and sleep!!). Had hoped to get out and do some walks but the weather is forecast to get REALLY cold, wet, thundery and windy so perhaps we'll stay in... oh yeah, and did I mention the hail?!

Walking!!! with his lion

Hey everyone, last night Noah impressed us by walking behind his ride-on-lion thing. He's got much better balance than before and now looks like walking on his own might not be far away. He's also discovered the toilet paper roll and likes unravelling it. He survived his first year, celebrating his 1st birthday on the weekend. Thanks to those of you who were able to make it. Other news in the Perry household is the awesome horse ride had by Katie and I last weekend (my thighs are STILL feeling it 5 days later!); a rare girls night out; and a trip to Sydney coming up in the next few weeks for the Annual Scientific Meeting of ANZCA (Anaesthetics Conference). Apart from that trying to plan a small getaway to some place warm in the middle of winter. We haven;t managed to score any beach weather on any of our holidays since being married... surely we're due for some sunshine?!
