The boy can dance

Yes, today I witnessed Noah doing a cute little dance to the music from his lion... kind of bobbing to the music. He's growing up so quick. This week he seems to have weaned himself and now only breastfeeds first thing in the morning and maybe at night just before bed. It's a bit random at the moment, but no 'booby feeds' during the day. So now we're trying to improve his drinking skills from a sippy cup. We've got playgroup today which is fun (for Noah AND me) plus Stuart finishes early (there's usually no surgery scheduled for Wed afternoons!) so it's shaping up to be a good day. Heaps cooler than the past few days so we'll get out and about a bit more. Oh yeah, Noah's eating has improved too. He's handing lumps better and this week has eaten quarter of a hot x bun, some vegemite toast, and some Apple and Cinnamon muffin! Our food is no longer OUR food!

New Town

We've been in our new home now for nearly 2 weeks. Loving Hamilton. Awesome lake for walking/jogging; beautiful Botanic Gardens for frisbee and picnics; great church (in an old pub!); only 5 min walk into town and about 30 sec walk to hospital; the house is great... Noah's crawling everywhere and following us from room to room, and he can stand himself up now which is exciting (for him) and scary (for us). The "dog kennel" is an old glass house so the dogs have plenty of room to stretch and can watch everything around them. They're gorging themselves on freshly picked pears! MMmmmmm

Horsing around

Lots of news

So much has happened since returning from holidays and moving to Hamilton. Stuart started his new job this morning at the hospital; our friends moved in down the street; Stuart and I went out for dinner the other night to an awesome restaurant while Grandma looked after Noah; and Noah is learning something new every day it seems... he's crawling now, can drink from a sippy cup, eat food with lumps, communicate better (which unfortunately includes the occasional loud tantrum!) and is sleeping well at night. Noah was fantastic on holidays, loved NZ, but has been a been a bit unsettled since moving house. Day time naps have been a challenge the last few days but I'm pleased to say he went down for his morning nap without too much fuss this morning, Praise God!! LOving Hamilton so far... despite a visit from a policeman about a break in overnight to the chemist next door!
